Per Georgia Administrative Rule 509-3-.06, all private detective license holders and registered private detective employees must complete a minimum of seventy hours of instruction from a Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies (GBPDSA) approved provider before being issued a state license.
Our online course satisfies the total 70-hour education requirement. Plus an optional 16 hours of firearm's training.
Upon completion of this course, the student is eligible for registration/licensing as a armed private investigator employee in the state of Georgia under a licensed investigations company.
The course is designed to provide instruction to those individuals with little or no investigative experience. The topics include introduction to the investigations industry, industry ethics for the private investigator, an overview of the different types of investigations conducted by private investigators, introduction to Georgia Criminal Law, felonies and misdemeanors, the laws of arrest, search and seizure, crime scene investigations, interviewing and taking statements, process serving, skip tracing and database searches, surveillance, criminal defense investigation, note taking, report writing, testifying, criminal law, civil process, insurance fraud, white collar crime, executive protection, business practices, and the rules of Georgia Board of Private Detectives and security agencies. This training will provide the student with the most up to-date information about the work and world of the private investigator.
